ImersãoSolar24, presented the most innovative solutions for Photovoltaic Plants during Intersolar 2024.
São Paulo 09/06/2024 – The Imersão Solar event has established itself as a hub for technological innovation in the solar energy sector, showcasing the latest technologies in photovoltaic solar plants, including ground-mounted, floating and AgriVoltaic systems. During Intersolar 2024, held in São Paulo, TMW Energy's Photovoltaic Plant Complex was opened to the public for a guided tour. Professionals, experts and companies from the energy sector from several countries had the opportunity to get to know the most advanced technologies up close, with a focus on optimizing and accelerating Brazil's energy transition.
Two innovative concepts stood out among the highlights of the event: floating solar plants and agrivoltaics. Floating solar plants, which use lakes and reservoirs to install solar panels, increase energy efficiency while reducing water evaporation. “With more than 240,000 registered lakes, Brazil has immense potential to install these plants, contributing to increasing energy production and conserving water resources,” said Teixeira, an expert at Apollo Floating.
AESOLAR, a German manufacturer, also presented the concept of Agrivoltaics, which integrates solar energy generation with agriculture, enabling the simultaneous use of agricultural areas for food production and clean energy. "Brazil, as an agricultural powerhouse, now has the chance to combine its capabilities and lead in two essential sectors: food production and renewable energy," said Ramon Nuche, LATAM director of AESOLAR GmbH.
